Dear BPW Colleagues, |
| |

The Board is looking to continue to improve the programs and
meetings that we offer to our Members and guests. In so doing,
Members will be receiving shortly a brief survey in the US mail
requesting your feedback on our meetings, the format, analysis of
our past speakers along with recommendations on moving forward.
Please watch for this important survey, respond honestly, and make
any comments you think would be helpful in planning our 2009-2010
year.
I also want to bring to people's attention that we are looking for
Member's to serve on committees. For those of you that want to
have a more significant impact on the organization and want to
meet other Members at a more intimate level, this is a great way
to do it. Personally, I started as Secretary, moved up to serve as
President for 2 terms, Chaired the Program Committee for several
years and now am finishing up another term as President. It has
been a wonderful way to meet and work with other professional
women, and become acquainted with many others in the community.
This would not have been possible had I not taken such an active
role.
Be sure to review inside this edition, the advantages of
membership in the areas of Sponsorship, contributing articles for
the newsletter and advertising.
I look forward to hearing from you to talk about what you can do
to help support our organization and seeing you at our next
meeting.
Respectfully Submitted,
Susan Weidner Cooke, President

the winning members. An award will also be given to the newest
member that has been most active with BPW. Greater Nashua BPW will
recognize the woman who has been the member the longest and those
members who have a five year and ten year membership history. The
Committee will include a non-member award to be given to the woman
in the community that has promoted women in the workplace.
All members have been encouraged to participate by bringing guests
to every meeting.

Brown Bag Lunch hosted by Express Employment Professionals on
Generations in the Workforce
Date: Thursday, June 18th
Time: 12PM-1:30PM
Cost: FREE
Generations in the Workforce is a training program that identifies
the four generations of workers who are side-by-side in the
workplace for the first time in history. This program will help
you manage and work with Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation
Xers and Millennials.
As you know, BPW Nashua is a member of the Greater Nashua Chamber of
Commerce. It has recently come to our attention that this is a
limited membership. Our Chamber contact has forwarded their
official policy on member organizations and non-profits.
It is as follows: "For non-profit organization and membership
organizations with paid staff, the Chamber's membership benefits are
extended to all members of the paid staff. For non- profit
organizations and membership organizations without a paid staff, the
Chamber's membership benefits are extended to the organization's
Board of Directors only, for their term in office only. The
organization is requested to provide the Chamber with an up-to-date
listing of their Board on an annual basis." Please accept our
apologies for any confusion.
