    Dear BPW Colleagues,

barb We are already into mid February and it feels like we just finished Christmas. Time flies and that is why it is so valuable. When is the last time you measured your time? Many times each day, I catch myself working without a break because I am trying to finish up so many projects with so little time.

At a meeting recently I announced my word for the year will be completion. I know that sounds simplified but really it is not. I always get excited about all kinds of new things and jump in headfirst and, before I know it, I easily get distracted with a new plan. At work we have many jobs going at the same time and in the office we always seem to be behind. So I have been putting that word, completion to work. I am amazed at what I have found. I am actually accomplishing more with less. I find that completion also encompasses being organized. Who would have guessed I could make such big changes in such a short amount of time.

I hope that you each have the time to do everything you need and want to do.

Sincerely,
Barb Tremlett
BPW of Nashua President 2009-2010

    Member's Spotlight by Nancy Baughman

Julia Manlogon has been the owner of Nashua Electrolysis, LLC (www.nashua-electrolysis.com) for twenty years. She purchased the business prior to becoming a licensed and board certified electrologist. Julia jokes that she owned a business she couldnt even answer the phone for in order to give out information until she had about two months of training!

Julia was recently reappointed to a second three year term on the electrology Advisory Committee for the state of New Hampshire. She serves in an advisory capacity to the Department of Health and Human Services and she administers the practical exam to all applicants for licensure and conducts inspections of electrolysis offices.

Julia currently serves as Scholarship Review Committee Chairperson for the New Hampshire Electrolysis Association. Her committee awards scholarships to electrology students who demonstrate a financial need.

Electrolysis is the only proven method of permanent hair removal. No more waxing, plucking, shaving and bleaching your unwanted facial and body hair. Look and feel your best with smooth, clean, hair free skin. Nashua Electrolysis, LLC offers free consultations in a friendly, professional atmosphere. It is located at 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Nashua. Call Julia, Sue or Susan today to schedule an appointment or to answer your questions, 603-888-3803.

Why did she join BPW?
She joined BPW two years ago because she wanted to connect with other professional women in the area and to show her support of women in the workplace.

On a Personal Note
In Julias spare time, you may find her dancing, reading, going to her favorite lake in Maine, writing, mowing her lawn, hiking, cheering her son on the cross-country team and checking off items on her bucket list. She just went skydiving for the first time!

A little known fact about Julia is that she was Nashua BPWs Young Careerist in 1988 when she was Director of Public Relations for Home Health and Hospice Care!
