Dear BPW Colleagues, |
| |

We talk about yearly check ups with the doctor and making
business plans. We talk about what kind of food to eat and know
we need to drink lots of water. Many of us are spiritual,
practice meditation or pray. If all of this is a way to a
certain success, why are so many of us falling short? Why is
this country so full of ill health and so many people not able
to achieve the success they strive for? May I give my
observation? Our body is a healing miracle. Every molecule in
our body is a natural healing machine. Positive energy and
allowance for that energy to flow through our body is even more
important than the materials we put into our bodies. We heal
with laughter, with hope and with love. Our energy rises with
inspiration, excitement and imagination. These all have one
thing in common, they are a positive influence on the body. They
produce good in our mind and spirit.
What are you watching on television, what games are playing,
what books do you read? Are they giving a positive message? What
about violence? Here is the point - if you are feeding your self
with negative, any kind of negative, then that is a key to a
lack of achieving your desires. You cannot feed the body with
negative energy and expect positive results. Anger, violence,
and sarcasm, these things will never assist you in being a
healthy, productive and successful person.
How do you talk about your work, your family, your friends and
your partner? If it is anything short of good then rethink what
you are saying and change the wording. You can make extreme
changes in a short amount of time with the intention to do so.
Is your business life where you want it to be? Do you have
positive things to say when some asks you - how is your business
is doing? What are you telling others about you and your
success? If you have less than excitement coming out when you
speak about your business then I encourage you to take some time
and come up with some strong positive statements to have ready
so that the next time someone asks you can give a resounding,
"It is all good" or "Couldn't be better!" Good luck and remember
we all are in this together!!
Sincerely,
Barb Tremlett
BPW of Nashua President 2009-2010

Notes from the Secretary |
| |

The Greater Nashua BPW Board met on February 25, 2010 The
following topics were discussed
- BPW Foundation has drop dues from $40 per member to $50
per state or local chapter. Complete details not available,
but this will significantly reduce our liability.
- Due to work commitments, Barb is still looking for someone
to assist her by representing the Nashua chapter at state
meetings. Kim, as State VP, cannot vote on behalf of the
chapter.
- The GED Scholarship and Women's Advocacy accounts were
discussed. Money from raffles should go into the more general
Women's Advocacy account to be used for things SUCH AS GED
scholarships. It was also agreed that we should combine the
money in the two accounts and purchase 3 GED scholarships with
them. Nancy will make arrangements for the scholarships and
see if they can be presented at the April meeting. Susan D.
and Susan C. stated that they would make up any shortage in
funds for the 3 scholarships.
The next board meeting was scheduled for Thursday, March 25th. It
was held from 12-1:30 pm at The Holistic Self Care Center, 12
Murphy Drive, Nashua, NH. All members are welcome to any of our
board meeting. Please contact Barb Tremlett at 603-883-1490 for
more information. .

Member's Spotlight by Nancy Baughman |
| |

Laura wears two hats in her professional life. She does
marketing and sales for MLANS, Inc., an IT consulting firm where
she is an owner. MLANS provides outsourced IT services to small
businesses in Southern New Hampshire. "It's both challenging and
fun to market high-ticket business services. The demand is
definitely there for high quality IT service, so the biggest
challenges are being visible and credible to small business
owners so they contact us," Laura says.
She found so much value in SendOutCards, a greeting card
service, that Laura became an active distributor. "Using this
service has improved my relationships with friends, family, and
customers. I am confident that anyone would benefit from sending
cards so I invite my fellow BPW members to try out a free gift
account," says Laura.
Her primary motivation in joining Nashua BPW and taking on the
membership chairwomanship is her appreciation for other chapter
members, valuing their competence, professionalism, warmth and
humor. Laura says, "Working together there's not much we can't
accomplish to benefit women in the community."
A native of the Garden State and a graduate of Rutgers
University, Laura has been a homeowner and resident in
Londonderry for over 30 years. She is married to Mark Aronson,
her partner in MLANS, and is the proud mother of Ilona
Steinhart, a freshman at Northeastern University with a major in
architecture. They adopted two rescue greyhounds. She has a
passion for justice in American life.
